NWC ALUMNI ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP

The National War College and Alumni Association depends upon the generosity from the most loyal alumni base of any of the war colleges. Your financial support through membership enables us to fund our current programs and expand new opportunities for the college and our alumni. Your membership is even more critical in that unlike other alumni associations and foundations, we do not receive corporate sponsorship--we are purely a member-supported association.

Our primary objective is to enhance the personal and professional network among our alumni and promote interest in the work of the National War College. Our programs are designed to help enhance the prestige of the National War College and help it endure as the truly unique experience that it is.

We ask for your support by either joining as a Life or Regular Member for 2011. To make it easier, we expanded our on-line Membership Renewal page to give you more options that now include both Regular Membership renewal and Life Membership. In addition, we reduced our annual dues back to the $28 per year rate.

How Your Membership Helped in 2010:

  • Supported NWC Student Social & Athletic Programs;
  • Supported NWC Student Academic Programs with end of course Awards & Recognition;
  • Supported the NWC Student Spouse's National Security Course;
  • Supported NWC Writing Program and End of Year Writing Awards;
  • Supported NWC Faculty Development & Faculty Recognition Programs;
  • Supported NWC New Faculty Orientation Program & Faculty Off-site;
  • Supported NWC Staff Recognition Programs;
  • Supported NWCAA Educational WDC Seminar & Regional Conference Programs;
  • Supported NWCAA EMPIRES Series;
  • Sponsored the first ever National War College History Project;
  • Supported the NWCAA Office Computer & Technology Upgrade;
  • Supported NWCAA's On-line Community through our Website, Facebook, Twitter, and our photos on Flickr;
  • Supported management of the NWCAA Directory;
  • and we need your support to do more in 2011.

To be eligible for membership in the Association as a Regular Member, the applicant must hold a diploma from the National War College; have served satisfactorily as a member of the Resident Faculty for at least one academic year; or have served satisfactorily as a member of the college Directing Staff for at least one academic year.

For membership as an Associate Member, the applicant must be the surviving spouse of any person who would have qualified for Regular Membership; or have expressed an interest in membership by attending programs at the National Defense University, the National War College, or events hosted by the National War College Alumni Association.
