For this week, just a couple of quick thoughts about our website.
We have developed webpages for each class under the "Class Connection" link. The address is simple--nationalwarcollege.org/XXXX. These pages help organize the updates by class that we hear about in the office. There are two ways to update or add updates: email me at execdir@nationalwarcollege.org or post something through the "comment" link towards the top of each page. Any comments posted through the comment link come to me for approval before they will show up on the webpage. Thus far, I am averaging at least a one day turnaround.
What to post? Tell us what you are doing, announce a class reunion or social, or comment on another post. The site exists for our alumni to help provide a one-stop place to continue your personal and professional networking from your year at the college. If you have pictures, email them to me and we'll post them for you. Unfortunately, there is no public upload for photos.
As updates are made, links will be displayed on the home page under "Alumni Updates" and also in the right column on the "Class Connection" page. The more you contribute to the information, the more interactive this site will be.
Lastly, this website is made possible only through your support by joining the association as a member. To be blunt--our site is open for all, but only a small percentage of our membership are making this site available through their consistent loyalty in membership. If you have not had the opportunity to renew your membership or join as a life member, click through to the "Membership" menu above where you can renew online or download the renewal form to mail in.
